Fragrance as an art object

At the Global Art of Perfumery in Berlin, around 100 international fragrance creators, cosmetics manufacturers, and luxury brands gathered. During the fair, the brands presented their showcase of the future.On behalf of COTY, the beauty concern for selective perfume and cosmetics distribution, our team staged "DOT", the latest fragrance by Marc Jacobs, which won an award for its flacon design.

In an area of 3 x 1 meters, this design standard was realized by combining mechanics and digital media. The cap of the flacon, which in its design is reminiscent of a butterfly, is lifted in a first slow-motion movement, the process of atomization is digitally displayed on a screen. The individual particles transform into small butterflies that seem to hatch out of the tiny scented pearls. In addition, the mirrored black surfaces within the shop window installation, together with the characteristic patterns, create a tension-filled depth.
